Jimmy C.F. LeungDirector of Planning Government of the HKSAR Mr Jimmy C F Leung is the Director of the Planning Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. Mr Leung is a Registered Professional Planner in Hong Kong, a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in the United Kingdom. He also holds the PRC Registered Urban Planner Qualification. |
John BowdenSolutions Design Manager Cisco Systems, Workplace Design and Development John has been involved in the design and delivery of Corporate Office Space for 30 years. Based in Hong Kong since 1982 he set up one of the first design firms to register in China, with offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Hanoi. In 2004 he decided to see what life was like on the Clients side and joined Cisco Systems and is now Solutions Design Manager for Cisco’s Workplace Design and Development Group covering Cisco’s Sales and Engineering development projects from India to Japan, including their 10,000 person Campus in Bangalore. |
Edward FarrellyDirector, Head of Hong Kong Research CB Richard Ellis In 2000, Edward joined Lar Grosvenor, a joint venture between Grupo Lar, a major Spanish developer and Grosvenor, the international property company. He was responsible for research activities for the company, with a principal focus on commercial real estate.Edward entered CB Richard Ellis in 2005 as Head of Research for the company’s Capital Markets and Retail activities in Spain. He then took on overall responsibility for all research activities in Spain and Morocco. In this position he also assumed the role of company spokesperson. After 12 years working in Spain, Edward recently relocated to Hong Kong to occupy the position of Head of Research for CB Richard Ellis in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. |
Paul ZimmermanCEO Designing Hong Kong Paul Zimmerman is a district councilor representing the Pokfulam constituency and the CEO of Designing Hong Kong, a non-profit organization devoted to improving urban planning, design and livability. He has championed these causes by advocating good planning and sustainable development through many NGOs. He was awarded an Honorary Membership of the American Institute of Architects (HK) for his role in improving the harbourfront of Victoria Harbour.Prior to his public work, he had owned a successful design company from 1987 to 1998 and was Executive Director of MF Jebsen International from 2003 to 2009 with responsibility for travel and automotive businesses. Born in the Netherlands, Paul arrived in Hong Kong in 1984. He has a Masters in Social Science (Economics) from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and is currently doing post-graduate studies in transport planning at The University of Hong Kong. |
Richard MyersHead of Integrated Facilities Management Jones Lang LaSalle Richard is the Head of Integrated Facilities Management, Hong Kong. He currently has under management some 40 accounts for a number of Fortune 500 companies, in the financial, IT, aviation and FMCG sectors. Richard has 20 years experience in facility and project management and has previously worked with Jardine Matheson as well as a number of design and build and architectural practices. Richard is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Certified Facility Manager through the International Facility Management Association, past president of the Hong Kong IFMA Chapter and holds a Masters Degree in Facility Management. |
Jun NepomucenoManaging Director & Region Head of Corporate Real Estate Citigroup Jun Nepomuceno is Managing Director and Region Head of Citi’s Corporate Real Estate group(CRS) for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. The portfolio consists of approximately 14 Million sft, about 1,500 locations in 12 countries consisting of offices, retail branches, operation centers and data centers. Jun joined Citibank in the Philippines in 1986 and has held various roles and responsibilities in Operations and CRS including CRS head for the Philippines, South Asia Project Management director, Regional Strategic Planning head and CRS North Asia Sub-region head.Prior to joining Citi, Jun was an instructor in the University of the Philippines College of Engineering and and a Construction Project Manager and Information Systems Head for a prominent construction company in the Philippines. |
Bryan WalkerAssociate Partner & Business Lead IDEO Bryan Walker is an Associate Partner and Business Lead at IDEO. Based in Palo Alto, CA, he co-leads the organizational design practice. He is responsible for the practice business and content, and he actively pursues new ways designers can catalyze and support massive change of complex, human systems. He has worked with organizations in a diversity of industries (from financial services to health care to consumer products) and is particularly interested in helping them understand innovation, formulate an innovation strategy, and ultimately support enterprise wide transformation that builds upon existing assets to meet future needs and goals. |
Andrew MarshallWorkplace Consultant Johnson Controls Andrew is an experienced workplace strategist with over 12 years of workplace design and change management experience for a number of organisations both in house and external. Whilst at Johnson Controls, Andrew has worked on projects for the BBC and Barclays Bank in the UK and most recently for Cadbury and CSC in Australia. Prior to joining Johnson Controls he had worked for Citigroup, Lloyds TSB and ABN Amro where, for the latter, he was involved in developing and implementing workplace strategy and change across their global building portfolio. Originally from Australia, Andrew has returned to the region and now jointly leads the WorkPlace Services team across Asia. |
Nicholas LesekVice President, Head of Engineering Nomura Nicholas Lesek has specialist experience in data centre environments, trading floors, banking corporate real estate and over 15 years experience in the misson critical sector. His career began in the industrial sector with a focus engineering disciplines. From there he joined Honeywell and was part of the delivery team in the massive Hong Kong Airport project. From there he led a numbers of accounts in the region for Honeywell, one of them being Goldman Sachs. Post 9/11, he joined the Goldman outsourced project engineering team during their many years of expansion is Asia. In 2007, Nicholas joined Macquarie to Head up Engineering & Facilities in the Americas based in New York and then a year with JCI GWS in the Americas, as well as advising on Asia business development strategy. In 2010 he returned to Asia to head up Nomura Engineering in the region. |
Penny Hubbard-BrownDirector, Hong Kong Mace Limited Penny Hubbard-Brown started her career as a Chartered Structural Engineer in London and worked for a number of high profile engineering practices on residential, commercial, education and healthcare projects before making the move into Project Management. Joining Mace in 2004 she initially worked on a large infrastructure re-modelling project at Brunel University which tied in the existing facilities with the new departments and student accommodation that was being provided. Working on a live campus ensured that stakeholder engagement was at the forefront of the project teams mind and health and safety issues a priority. Once complete Penny moved to North London where she managed a team of 6 Project Managers to deliver a programme of 12 secondary school redevelopments for Haringey Council. Completed on time and budget the programme has been commended as one of the best Building Schools for the Future schemes in the UK. Penny moved to Hong Kong over three years ago with Mace and started working on the Ocean Park Master Redevelopment Project, here she managed a team of 10 Mace Project Managers as well as members of the in-house project team to deliver the Grand Aquarium, Entry Plaza and Aqua City Lagoon area that opened to the public at the end of January 2011. Then, having won the Executive Project Management role for the Science Park Phase 3 project Penny transferred to act as the Project Director on this critical project for Mace in Hong Kong. Now, having recently handed over the Project Director role Penny has taken on the Directorship of Mace in Hong Kong and Macau and is working to grow Mace presence in the region. |
Arnald NgHead of Facility Management Standard Chartered Bank Arnald has 15 years experience across multiple disciplines within Corporate Real Estate and Project Management during which time she has not only directly managed projects but has directed corporate accounts for prominent International Organizations with major Regional Real-Estate portfolios. With this track-record together with valuable prior experience gained while working for industry leaders including Sun Microsystems, Hong Kong Land and Standard Chartered Bank, she has shown herself to be exceptionally capable in managing and directing regional teams to the most exacting international standards and demanding client-reporting requirements. Arnald is a Faculty for CoreNet Global and is also an approved instructor of IFMA. Other than serving CoreNet Global as a Chapter Committee, she is also a member of the International Credential Committee (ICC) of IFMA. |
Ross BoltonDirector, Office Services Colliers International Ross joined Colliers International’s Commercial Leasing Division as a member of the Tenant Representation Group in April 2007. Ross’ current focus is to advise multinational firms and funds on property requirements and strategies within the Central and Admiralty business districts and provide holistic solutions to compliment their overall business objectives. Ross has also worked with the majority of portfolio landlords including Hongkong Land, Henderson Land, Wharf T&T, Sun Hung Kai, Cheung Kong Holdings, Sino Land, Hutchinson, Hysan and Swire Properties. Prior to joining Colliers, Ross was with Jones Lang LaSalle as a Manager undertaking Tenant Representation focused work within the Kowloon market. In addition, Ross spent a number of years in the UK market, working for Colliers in London and within the Investment Department of the Local Government Authority in Bath, thereby bringing further client-side understanding and expectations to all appointments. |
Paul ScroggieDirector of Workplace Consultancy Knight Frank Paul Scroggie has over 20 years’ experience in architectural design, project supervision and management in Asia. Paul joined the company in 1998 with the specific responsibility for advising on property related architectural issues on the Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) West Rail project. Since 2004, Paul has extended his expertise in architectural design, and the appreciation of human interaction with space, to spearhead the creation of the workplace consultancy team at Knight Frank. The team now consults on portfolio-wide projects for HSBC. In 2007, the team was commissioned by Rosno, the second largest insurance organization in Russia and majority owned by Allianz. In 2004, Paul was re-commissioned by KCRC as team leader to represent the corporation on the new SCL line acting on behalf of the KCRC commercial division to optimize retail and advertising opportunities and increase commercial revenue to the corporation. |
Joseph PereiraHead of Corporate Real Estate & Operations, APMEA Zurich Financial ServicesIn this capacity, he is responsible for the leadership and management of Zurich’s corporate real estate and operationsencompassing; stakeholder relationships, financial structuring, workplace strategies &management, business continuity planning and change management programs in Asia Pacific, Africa, the Middle-East and Oceania. His career has spanned and integrated the practice of Architecture, Project Management, Operations, Finance, and Asset Management into a comprehensive Corporate Real Estate Programme supporting multinational businesses and financial institutions across the globe. Prior to joining Zurich Financial, he was Head of Global Asset Management at Standard Chartered Bank with responsibility to strategize and manage the Bank’s owned property portfolio. Earlier, he was a partner of EC Harris, a global professional consultancy where he was responsible for its corporate real estate and change management programs in Asia. Before that, he led Nortel Networks’ workplace planning strategies in North & South America, North Asia & Greater China and earlier still, the Global Planning efforts for Monsanto Life Sciences Company. Additional to his duties with Zurich, Joseph is an executive officer of both; the HK Business Environment Council, and of Corenet, a professional association of corporate real estate executives. Additionally he is a member of Corenet’s accredited Global Learning Faculty which administers the executive corporate real estate master’s programme in Asia Pacific. |
